Growing up in Ayutthaya, Thailand he worked on family farm growing rice in the rice fields, and raised chicken on the farm. With a big family of 7 siblings, everyone had to help mother to prepare and cook food. Saran knew how to cook Thai food at age 5 years old. Saran has been a professional chef for over 20 years.
